Sheriff’s Detectives Investigating Suspicious Death on Point …

Around 8 this morning Flagler County’s 911 dispatch center got a call that a woman at 6 Point Pleasant Drive in Palm Coast had died after reportedly falling either in the shower or while stepping out of the shower. Her husband was at home at the time.

The victim was identified as Faith Cummings, 44, her husband as Michael Cummings, 46.

Sheriff’s Office deputies and paramedics arrived at the scene. The woman was pronounced

Bridgman Police investigating two suspicious deaths

BRIDGMAN — The Bridgman Police Department reported that it is investigating “2 suspicious deaths” at 9753 Baldwin Road in Bridgman.

According to a Saturday, Sept. 16, press release, Sgt. Tom LaVanway was requested by a family member to check on the welfare of  63-year-old Donald James Ackerman and Pamela Sue Ackerman, 67, as they had not been heard from in the past few days.

Once Sgt. LaVanway arrived (at 12:47 p.m. Saturday), he made entry into the residence and discovered both victims deceased. The press release stated that the cause of death in both cases was “gunshot wound.”

The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department Detective Bureau and Crime Scene Technicians were requested to assist the Bridgman department in the investigation.  

Police reported that: “Preliminarily, the deaths appear to be possibly murder-suicide. The incident remains under investigation and autopsies will be performed in the next few days.”

Suspicious death investigated at 13th and S streets in Sacramento

The Sacramento Police Department is investigating a suspicious death Saturday afternoon at 13th and S streets.

Police Sgt. Bryce Heinlein said a report of an “unresponsive white male” came in about 2 p.m., and officers arriving on the scene found a man believed to be between 50 to 60 years of age with signs of body trauma. The body was found on the sidewalk on S Street, between 13th and 14th streets. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Heinlein said investigators are still trying to ascertain the cause of the trauma.

Homicide detectives and the department’s Crime Scene Investigation unit were on the scene, with S Street closed between 13th and 14th streets.

That portion of S Street will be closed for several hours during the homicide investigation, Heinlein said.

Heinlein said investigators believe the deceased was a “transient,” and added, “It’s really early at this point. It’s going to take some time

Suspicious death under investigation in Burlington County

MAPLE SHADE TWP. — Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting behind a Kings Highway business Wednesday morning.

Roofers working above the scene told NJ Advance Media they heard and saw roughly 15 gunshots and saw two men fleeing the area after wearing reflective vests. The incident occurred around 8:30 am. at the rear of the building at 124 East Kings Highway that houses Albo Appliance and Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant.

Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina told 6ABC that his office has identified a suspect and is trying to locate him, but the public is not in danger. His office has not provided any comment to NJ Advance Media.

Another bystander said the victim was a man who worked at Albo Appliance store.

One of the roofers said that from his perch nearby, he saw two men in reflective vests firing at the victim, who fell and did not move again. The men then ran away from the rear
