On Sunday evening, the police mobile crime scene investigation van was parked in front of the modest white split-level house. Neighbors said an older couple lived there with a large, protective dog. They weren’t often seen outside.

ISP detectives investigating death of infant

BAINBRIDGE — Indiana State Police detectives from the Putnamville Post are currently investigating the death of a three-month-old infant in the town of Bainbridge. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that at 5:50 a.m. April 27, Putnam County 911 Dispatch received a call from the infant’s father reporting his unresponsive son at their Main Street home. The father attempted medical aid until arrival of emergency services, with the infant then being transported to Hendricks Regional Health, where the infant was later pronounced deceased.

Later that evening, an autopsy was conducted at Hendricks Regional Health and early indications are the infant may have been the victim of an unsafe sleeping environment with a parent. However, the investigation is still underway with full autopsy results expected in six to eight weeks. 

The lead investigator is ISP Detective Don Curtis. Assisting were ISP Detective Sergeant Sam Stearley, ISP Crime Scene Investigator Sergeant Jim Cody, Indiana

Indiana State Police at Putnamville are investigating the death in Bainbridge, a small town on U.S. 36 in northern Putnam County.

According to an ISP news release, Putnam County 911 Dispatch received a call about 5:50 a.m. Thursday from the infant’s father reporting his unresponsive son at their Main Street home. The father attempted medical aid until arrival of emergency services. The infant was taken to Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, where the infant was later pronounced dead.

Later that evening, an autopsy was conducted at Hendricks Regional Health. Early indications are the infant may have been the victim of an unsafe sleeping environment with a parent. However, the investigation continues with full autopsy results expected in six to eight weeks.

TPD investigating shooting at Edenwood Apartments in N. Tulsa; man shot twice

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Police are investigating a shooting at the Edenwood Apartments in north Tulsa late Monday night.

Police responded to the scene around 11:45 p.m. Monday on North Hartford Avenue near East Virgin Street.

When officers arrived, they found a man with two gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition, and he’s expected to recover.

Investigators say the victim was inside a pickup truck when he was struck by two bullets. After he was shot, the victim crashed the truck into an apartment and a car that was parked outside.

During the crime scene investigation, officers found two apartments had bullet holes as well as a parked vehicle.

Witnesses told police that a group of people were running inside the apartment complex opening fire. By the time officers arrived, they fled the scene.
