Two arrested in stabbing death of woman found on rural Livermore road

 

LIVERMORE — A dying woman found on the side of a rural Alameda County road was able to give investigators enough information to lead them to a pair of suspects before she succumbed to multiple stab wounds early Monday, authorities said.

The 19-year-old woman had apparently crawled 100 yards along Tesla Road before she was found, and held on long enough to speak with investigators and be airlifted to a hospital.

The woman’s statement led investigators to Modesto, where they arrested a man and a woman about 1:15 p.m. Monday.

“That was very compelling information,” Alameda County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Ray Kelly said. “She explained to us who was responsible for doing this to her.”

The agency will seek murder charges against the pair, both

Davenport man arrested in Tuesday’s fatal shooting in East Moline – Quad

EAST MOLINE — Police have announced an arrest in relation to Tuesday’s shooting death.

Jon Keener, 52, was shot in the head around 11:21 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of 15th Avenue, according to East Moline Police. Arriving officers found the wounded man and he was sent to Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, where he was pronounced dead.

On Wednesday afternoon, police said Willie Minor, 29, of Davenport, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. He was being held on $5 million bail in the Rock Island County Jail.

Mr. Minor was one of five people taken into custody in the hours after the shooting. All were inside a house at 1509 Kennedy Drive, East Moline. Police surrounded the house and the five people, including one woman, were brought out over a period of several hours.

2 arrested after man seriously injured in Lawrence shooting

LAWRENCE, Kan. (KSNT) — One man has been seriously injured in a shooting in Lawrence.

Lawrence Police arrested Ardyn D. Pannell, 18, and Michael A. Hormell, 18.

They were taken to jail on charges including aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery.

Hormell was also booked for attempted 2nd degree murder.

It happened around 5 p.m. at Parnell Park. That’s at the corner of 15th Haskell.

The victim is believed to be 17-20 years old, according to Lawrence Police.

He was air-lifted to an area trauma center with a gunshot wound. Police said his injuries are life-threatening.

Former Disney star Adam Hicks was arrested earlier this week on suspicion of committing a string of early-morning armed robberies on Wednesday in Burbank, California, PEOPLE confirms.

The 25-year-old actor, who most recently starred in the Hulu series Freakish, was taken into custody later on Wednesday along with 23-year-old Danni Tamburo, according to a release from the Burbank Police Department.

Tamburo is reportedly Hicks’ girlfriend.

Here are three things to know about the case and about the suspects.

1. The Robberies Occurred Quickly: Police

Police said the suspected robberies began Wednesday morning with a 52-year-old man who was walking in the Burbank area about 5:15 a.m. The man later told police he was approached by a male who pointed a gun at him and demanded his wallet.

“Fearing for his life, the victim ran away and was able to escape to safety,” Burbank police said.

Disney star Adam Hicks arrested on suspicion of a ‘string of armed street robberies’

Adam Hicks of the Hulu series Freakish and Danni Tamburo have been arrested on suspicion of committing multiple armed robberies. The 25-year-old actor and his reported girlfriend, 23, were picked up Wednesday and each are currently being held on a $350,000 bail.

Hicks “was arrested yesterday afternoon in connection with a string of armed street robberies that occurred yesterday morning,” Sgt. Derek Green of the Burbank Police Department in Los Angeles initially told EW over email. Hicks is due in court tomorrow.

According to a news release sent to media in the early afternoon on Thursday, a 52-year-old walking in Burbank was approached by “a male armed with a handgun,” who demanded the victim’s wallet. The elderly gentleman was able to escape safely, but three additional robberies occurred in the same area within minutes of each other as authorities were investigating the first crime.

The Montrose County Coroner has confirmed the identity of the woman found dead in her home Oct. 27.

Lives Persson, 71, died of non-accidental blunt force trauma to her head.

Her son, Karsten Persson, 37, is in custody in Ohio on a traffic offense there and on a Montrose warrant alleging first-degree murder.
