‘Hunger Games’ actress intimidated by Rosa Parks role, ponders …

Haitian-American actress Meta Golding is playing one of the most famous women in American civil rights history, starring as Rosa Parks in the movie “Behind The Movement.”

“It was quite intimidating, but such an honor to just even attempt to step into her shoes,” Golding told NBCBLK. “It’s a departure from her other roles, which include “C.S.I. Crime Scene Investigation” and “Criminal Minds” and a bloodthirsty evil doer in the big screen “Hunger Games” blockbusters.

The Alabama-born seamstress, who sparked off the civil rights movement — after refusing to give up her seat on a bus in 1955, is the centerpiece of “Behind The Movement,” which offers viewers a closer look at how the Montgomery Bus Boycott was planned in just three days and ultimately led to the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s.

Actress Kendall Carly Browne Dies at 99

She worked for Zeppo Marx and appeared on ‘The Jack Benny Program’ and in ‘Pineapple Express.’

Actress Kendall Carly Browne died Friday of natural causes at her home in Indio, California. She was 99.

Browne appeared in such films as Dreamscape (1984) and Pineapple Express (2008) and on television on The Jack Benny Program; Beverly Hills, 90210; ER; CSI: Crime Scene Investigation; and My Name Is Earl. She also toured the country with Forrest Tucker in theatrical productions of Plaza Suite.

Browne began her career as a receptionist at the Zeppo Marx Talent Agency, worked at CBS Television City when it first opened in 1952 and hosted the Four Star Theater program on KECA-TV (now KABC-TV).

Survivors include her sons, Vega$ actor Bart Braverman and TV director-producer Chuck Braverman. Her husband, TV producer Herb Braverman, died in 1958.
